Report Internet 2k10 consists of four parts. In the first chapter we present the ranking of Polish e-business in four main groups: ‘Services and Internet services, “” Marketing and Internet advertising, “” E-commerce (online shops) and “services for online businesses.”

We analyzed in detail the financial performance of 275 major companies operating in the Polish Internet industry, we have also some basic information about the markets in which they operate. An additional element of our analysis are interviews with representatives of companies that ranked first place in the individual ranking tables.

The report also found a summary of the past year, developed on the basis of the results Megapanel PBI / Gemius. After reviewing which websites have increased their audience, which recorded a decline in popularity during the twelve months of 2009

The third chapter is devoted to the financing of e-business in our country. We looked at websites of companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, have prepared a brief summary of the three rounds of call for proposals for funding under Action 8.1 Innovative Economy Operational Programme.

The last part of the report is a catalog of Polish companies on the internet. In five major industry groups, divided into smaller categories of business cards we collected more than 1,400 major companies in the industry.

The first ten

The winner of the entire statement, regardless of whether we take into account the financial results for 2008 or for 2009 years, is QXL Poland, the owner Allegro.pl auction platform and the parent company for several major companies in the industry – otoMoto, PayU and Ceneo.

In 2008, the leader of the Polish Internet market was 470 million zł income and zł up to 148 million net profit. This results not achievable for other companies operating in the Polish network, and all indications are that in 2009, Poznan company raised the bar again – her last year estimated the turnover of around 550 mln zł.

The second in the statement of Grupa Onet.pl was in 2008, more than half of lower income (203 mln zł). This example clearly shows the difference between the domestic market of online advertising and Internet commerce market. Publisher largest Polish web portal in 2009, sales remained virtually the same level as the year before.

The same goes for a fifth-ranking Polish Virtual (151 mln zł market in 2008 and 152 million zł years later.) Among those present in the top ten companies engaged in Internet portals could only Interia our opinion noticeably increase their income (from 82 million to about zł zł 89 million last year).

Apart from QXL Poland and three publishers portals, at the forefront of the statement for the year 2008 we find the owners of online stores. Third place in Warsaw coincided Agito SA, a company that owns the shop Agito.pl. Unfortunately, the impressive revenue in 2008 melted away last year from 174 million to 95 million zł zł, not because the financial problems were the largest shareholder Agito.
